So today in Harrogate, I woke up with the sun shining and completely blue skies! I was out with my camera as quick as a flash, photographing the little details !
Valley Gardens looks particularly stunning at this time of year - the gardeners have really taken the time and effort to make the place look beautiful, and left some areas wild, so I couldn't not photograph it - rude not to!
I used my Nikon D300 with a 35mm lens, and always in Manual. I aboslutely love my Nikon, even though I've only had it a few months. It does exactly what I need, and feels nice to use. It's not too heavy either, which is always a plus! The 35mm I used is quite hard to focus with, and in unusual lightings I really struggle with it. I often have to switch between manual focus and auotmatic focus to get the result I want.
It’s almost time for blackberry crumble!
I also did some experimental shots… Twisting my camera as I shot and putting it on a low shutter speed, 1/8th of a second.
I really like the outcomes of them! I love the colours and how vibrant they looks. It’s almost an illusion! It does take a lot of trail and error, as the images don’t often work out well! It’s nice to have photos that are completely original - as as much as you try you cannot get the same photo twice.
I hope you like my photos - feel free to leave me any comments.
